LG has announced the LG R200. The notebook is to be released in the Korean market on October 17th. The notebook allows users to enjoy a variety of entertainment functions such as MP3 playback, photo and mini games via a 2.5-inch external LCD monitor even if the computer is not booting into Windows.The notebook should be based on Intel’s Santa Rosa Platform (Centrino Duo or Pro). Equipped with wireless LAN 802.11n-draft, Triple Hexa-band Antenna and three USB ports, the R200 supports ATI HD 2400 and 135Mbps data transfer speed. Adopting 12.1-inch wide display, 2GB memory and 160GB HDD(1GB Turbo memory) and super multi drive, it is expected to be available for 2,240,000(KRW).

Fujitsu FMV-BIBLO LOOX U Notebook

Fujitsu just unveiled their lineup of FMV-BIBLO laptops powered with the new Intel Santa Rosa chipset. The lithe 13.3-inch MG series start at just 1.58-kg (3.48-pounds) and 22.4-mm
(0.88-inches) yet come slammed with up to 4GB of memory, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, 120GB 5400rpm SATA disk, and a multi-bay drive for a DL DVD burner or extra battery for up to 9.2-hours of untethered operation.

Unfortunately, they don’t specify which CPU this laptop is running. The NF series on the other hand, slaps a Santa Rosa generation, T5500 Core 2 Duo processor with 800MHz FSB (Front Side Bus) inside a 15.4-inch rig with additional support for ExpressCard/54. Fujitsu also announced seasonal updates to their AV-centric 17-inch NX series and 10.6-inch LOOX T-series. The NX gets some updated Core 2 Duos (non Santa Rosa editions) to accompany some serious AV expansion-works while the LOOX T welcomes a bump to an ULV Core Duo processor.

All available in April for prices ranging from ¥420,000 (about $3,521) for the NX on down to about ¥150,000 ($1,257) for a bare-bones NF model.

Toshiba Dynabook Satellite K20 Notebook

Toshiba PC & Network Corporation will release its Dynabook Satellite K20 this September 4th. The laptop features a Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz) processor giving it the power to compete in today’s laptop market. Aside from the fact that it is customizable, the unit also features a fingerprint security sensor. Furthermore, Operating System can be chosen from either Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Business.The K20’s other features include a 15.4-inch wide liquid crystal display with 1,280×800 pixel (WXGA) resolution. For those of you on a budget, a standard model for the K20 will also be released on the said date. The standard models include a Celeron M 530 (1.73GHz) CPU, memory 512MB (maximum 2GB), Intel GL960 Express (video functional built-in), HDD 80GB and CD-RW/DVD-ROM and will be priced at about 180,600 Yen.

The loaded unit with Core 2 Duo T7500 CPU, Intel GM965 Express (video functional built-in), memory 512MB (maximum 4GB), to load HDD 80GB and CD-RW/DVD-ROM will be priced at 248,850 Yen.

Monster DELL 6300 Laptop

The Santa Rosa-based behemoth known as the Precision M6300 is finally coming very soon. The 17-inch monster laptop will be a very good partner for business boys and girls. The laptop features a a Core 2 Duo X7900 CPU (2.8GHz with an 800MHz FSB), Nvidia’s Quadro FX 1600M graphics chipset, up to 4GB of RAM, and a 120GB or 200GB hard drive.

Dell also plans to make a SanDisk 32GB SSD available for the road-ready laptop, and is offering a DVD, DVD-RW, or Blu-ray writable optical drive. Of course, the M6300 has all the regular bells and whistles, like 802.11a/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, DVI, Firewire, plus a not-so-usual optional AT&T HSDPA card.

You can also choose between XP, Vista, or RedHat Linux for the OS. No word on price of availability, though it appears these will be landing sometime this month.
