Lumix DMC-FP1

  • Point-and-shoot operation, with Intelligent Auto mode (which does virtually everything for you)
  • Face detection with auto redeye removal
  • Starts up in less than one second
  • Records video at 1280 x 720 (30 fps) with sound
  • 40MB onboard memory + SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot
  • 300 shots per charge using proprietary li-ion battery

  • 3-inch touchscreen LCD display (230k pixels) with touch focusing
  • Comes in silver, black, and navy blue

You may have noticed that I mentioned SDXC cards, and Panasonic announced a pair of those, as well. These super fast (Class 10), high capacity cards come in 48 and 64 gigabyte sizes, and they’re priced at $449 and $599, respectively (ouch). They’ll start shipping next month.
