LG has today come forth to announce their GW620 handset, pictured above. If you’ve been keeping track, you’ll know that this is LG’s first ever Android powered device.

This device features a 3-inch touchscreen, 5MP camera and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. LG says this device’s features are “to meet the growing needs of consumers who rely on their mobile phones for more than just making calls”.

Unfortunately they haven’t announced a North American release date but they have said that the phone should appear in select European markets in Q4 of this year.

Lenovo is the new company in the block betting on the multi-touch technology: meaning that it can recognize 2 fingers on the touchscreen. This feature has been added to 2 models: ThinkPad T400s and X200 Tablet.

To make usability better and easier, the laptops come with special software named SimpleTap so you can easily access the most common functions: volume, turn on/off, etc. Technically speaking the T400s boasts a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor + 120GB on the hard-drive + 2GB of memory RAM, and a DVD burner which makes the price tag close to $2.000. As for the X200 Tablet, it is a bit cheaper and not so powerful, for $1,650 you get a 12–inch touchscreen, a 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB of storage capacity.

While we’ve seen specs and renders of the HTC Leo leak out we have yet to see the device in the flesh. Luckily, the Internet has gotten its hands on an actual pre production device and boy does it look pretty.

The HTC Leo is said to feature a 4.3 inch touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. As you can see, it’s also running a version of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5.

Too bad we still don’t a solid release date for this device but, as always, we’ll keep you posted.

HP has launched a new laptop called Mini 311. As you can guess by the name, this is a mini notebook with a 11.6-inch screen, that makes use of the ION platform made by Nvidia.

The Mini 311 supports a 1366×768 resolution and comes with an Intel Atom N720 processor at 1.6GHz, plus 1GB of RAM, and a hard-drive of 160GB. The 6-cell battery should be more than enough for a couple of hours working non-stop, while the built-in camera and microphone are a must in nowadays laptops.

The laptop is priced at $400 and will become available on the following weeks in 2 different versions: with XP Home OS, and Windows Vista.

Canon today introduced the new EOS-7D digital SLR (you’ve probably read bits and pieces about it over the last week). Despite its name, the 7D is not a full-frame camera; rather, it’s an APS-C model that fits between the EOS-50D and EOS-5D Mark II. I’d personally call it Canon’s answer to the Nikon D300s.

Along with the 7D comes the new WFT-E5A wireless file transmitter. This attaches to the camera like a battery grip and offers 802.11a/b/g wireless support, plus Ethernet and USB ports (to which you can attach a hard drive). The WFT can send photos to your computer or another DNLA-enabled device, supports geotagging with a compatible GPS, and even has a built-in web server that allows you to control it (complete with live view) from your PC or smartphone. The WFT will be shipping in early November for $699.
