Introducing yet another luxury cellphone to the market, Samsung has announced the Ego GT-S9402, a new candybar phone for people with lots of disposable income.

Apparently, the phone is made of “liquidmetal” composite alloy which is supposedly “3 times stronger, can withstand 1.8 times the pressure, is 1.6 times more flexible, has 3 times better vibration absorption and 100% lower thermal conductivity than titanium.”

The phone will work with dual SIM cards, supports triband GSM with EDGE connectivity but no 3G. It features a 5MP camera with autofocus, FM radio, microSDHC memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 960mAh battery all in a 140g package.

As expected, it will be priced exorbitantly at 1200 Euros.

Nokia has added another cellphone to their huge catalog, this one will go directly to the “low-end and cheap” category. It is named 2608 and will become available at unknown markets (for now) during the first quarter of 2009.

The cellphone is the cheapest model on their CDMA line, and it doesn’t have any special features. With that being said, the known details of the Nokia 2608 include FM radio, a speaker phone, and voice memo recording. There will be 3 different versions that only differ in color:

- fuchsia with a pink stripe
- silver with a green stripe
- black with a blue stripe

The ROKR EM35 will be released by the end of the year and all in all it’s a pretty decent phone. I just wonder why they picked the same release date with the Nokia N97. Guess who’s getting the spotlight today!
