On top of the recently launched GPSMap 640 for road and sea, there are two new models from Garmin: GPSMap 695 and 696. The two new GPS systems can already be bought and have a price tag of $2,700 and $3,300.

Both systems have a 7-inch screen that can be read even on the sunlight, which means that you can easily use it during the sunny days or on the dark nights.

Garmin GPSMap 696

Considered the flagship GPS system for aviation, it boasts XM radio and XM WS Satellite Weather that only works on the US. This functionality is able to provide plenty of weather information related to aviation, such as terminal aerodrome forecasts, temporary flight restrictions, lightnings, winds, turbulence, and other details.

Pretty similar to the smaller-brother 696, but it doesn’t come with a GXM 40 smart antenna.

Compaq has joined the fresh market of netbooks, and decided to reveal their new Mini 700 computer that is pretty similar to the HP Mini 100 - not only in terms of features, but also on the design and name.

Anyhow, one of the main differences between the two netbooks is the option of a HSDPA modem on the Mini 700 from Compaq. The other important detail is the price, it is close to $490 which is less $150 than the HP product. Another difference is the launch date, which in Compaq’s case will be made late this year in December, on the UK.

General Specifications:

- Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz processor
- From 512MB up to 2GB of memory RAM
- Intel GMA950 for the graphics
- 60GB hard-drive
