BlackBerry Javelin Pic - Comparison Shot

New BlackBerry Javelin Pic!

A new (slightly blurry) photo of the BlackBerry Javelin has popped up on the net (via HoFo ), this time with the device neatly sandwiched between a BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry 8800. We recently brought you some Javelin presentation shots , which showed off many of the features and functions coming in RIM’s replacement to the Curve, but this images shows you just show small and sleek the device really is compared to the current generation of BB Full Qwertys.

As excited as I am to get my BlackBerry Bold, I can’t get over just how “good” the Javelin specs and device are looking. Sure the Bold is packing 3G and a slightly faster processor, but after that the Javelin pretty much wins in every respect: bigger display, smaller form factor, better camera, more room for apps… it is TIGHT. If you live outside of 3G coverage or find yourself with access WiFi the majority of your day, it’s looking like the Javelin vs. Bold decision may not be that difficult to make.

Rumor ! Macbook air upgrades

I am expecting the new MacBooks to be upgraded, including their latest Air model. It will not come as a surprise shocker to anyone when that happens. But we had to have a rumor like that. It is said that national retailers have been warned about an upcoming MacBook Air upgrade.

But don’t leave yet, we have juicy details. Sure the Air is going to get upgrades. What kind of upgrades?

First of all the new 45-nm Penryn processor is going to replace the current Intel processor. That means going from 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz to 2.26GHz or 3.06GHz. The FSB will go up from 800MHz to 1,066MHz and CPU power draw will also increase to 29W from 20W. A better graphics card is to be expected and a better battery should also be in the works.

Nothing unusual right? I mean we were all thinking about some of those changes…

Blackberry Curve 8350 GPS+Wifi

The new iDEN BlackBerry 8350 which… well… looks a lot like a BlackBerry Curve 8330. Big news for the Curve form factor though is the inclusion of autonomous GPS and WiFi in the same device (who said you couldn’t fit both within the Curve’s frame?!), internal antenna (yeah!!) and OS4.6. TGood specs all around and I’m sure a lot of Sprint users are going to be happy about this, but at the same time it’s not doing all that much to keep up with the Joneses when compared to the awesome specs of the BlackBerry Bold or Javelin, especially if you consider this won’t hit the market for a couple of months.

Estimated ! 3 Million iPhone 3G Sold

Aug  08

Today it’s exactly a month from the official iPhone 3G launch. If in the first three days Apple sold 1 million iPhones, people are estimating that 2 more million handsets were sold since the first weekend. So we are looking at 3 million handsets sold in one month. And they are the same phone. How many cell phone makers can say they can do that?

Sit tight iPhone haters. Before pointing fingers at the whole blogosphere and the Internet making this possible, check first with Apple’s marketing department. I guess they’re the ones to blame.

Fortune and analyst Michael Cote, a former T-Mobile executive, are estimating three million iPhone 3G sales so far. Other analysts are expecting sales to stop around four millions by the end of the quarter.

But let’s see what happens after August 22nd when 20 more countries will sell the iPhone 3G. I know I know, it will be another success hit because of bloggers like me…
