Leaked ! Blackberry 9500 Thunders

Well look here what the cat dragged in. These appear to be genuine leaked pictures of the newest RIM creation, the BlackBerry 9500 also known as the Thunder.

The impressive 360×480 touch display is the major upgrade RIM had in mind for us. Sure we will miss the full QWERTY keyboard but we’re not going to need it where we’re going. Aside from the ‘giant’ screen, yes it’s bigger than the iPhone’s, we will get the OS 4.7. Surely this is going to be the closest iPhone competitor so far. We’ve heard lots of rumors and we’re anxiously waiting for it to be released. As long as the Thunder will have a decent price and at least the same application support as the iPhone does, we’re sure to have one hell of a fight for mobile supremacy. HTC and Samsung beware! Your Touch Diamonds and Instincts or Omnias might be easily surpassed by the 9500.

Sure we want to check out any new Vaio from Sony. Sure they are way to expensive than their direct competitors but they can turn heads. What do we have here today? We have the new Vaio laptops for Sony with leaked details on display. And we have two 13.3 inch Vaio SR models to check out: the VGN-SR19XN and the VGN-SR19VN. These two babies pack a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo P8400 processor. The first one has the regular integrated graphic card while the second version has the Radeon HD3470. You’ll have more hardware inside: 4GB of RAM and a 200GB. How about that?

Feel like you need more? How about the 16.4 inch Vaio FW. This baby appears to be available in lots of configuration. You can choose between the ATI 3650 or 3470 graphics card, you can opt in for a Blu-ray drive, while the processor is the same processor used in the SR models.

We’re waiting for the actual Sony release to get official prices but we should expect more expensive than the usual.

Nokia 500 Auto Nav

Here’s something we don’t get to see everyday. Sure we have so many powerful navigation devices to count on when it comes to GPS navigation but why not try a Nokia navigation device like the Nokia 500 Auto Nav.Here’s what you will basically find on a Nokia 500 Auto Nav:

  • 4.3 inch touch screen
  • SD card slot
  • loudspeaker
  • microphone
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • miniUSB port/charger connector
  • built-in FM transmitter
  • Bluetooth.

This satellite navigation system works partially as a phone. All you have to do is connect it to a handset via Bluetooth and make calls if you want to. Although I wouldn’t want to connect to Bluetooth via a phone when I could simply do the whole calling thing from the phone itself.

It’s a pleasure talking about those new HP laptops especially as they keep coming in. Today we have the Puma based Compaq 6735b and 6535b models. These two business oriented laptops come with the AMD Puma platform and their basic setup will sell at $779. But let’s look what else we’re going to find inside.

The Compaq 6735b is a 15.4 inch laptop while the 6535b is a 14.1 notebook. Both of them will have similar configuration. As for processor you can choose between the AMD Turion X2, X2 Ultra, or Athlon X2. You will get the ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphic card and up to 8GB RAM, you know just in case your job is launching rockets from NASA and you have to occasionally do it from home. The hard drive is a little little at 160GB but you can replace the DVD burner with a second HDD. Although I would advise for getting yourself and external dependable hard drive and leave that DVD in place.

The LCDs are special too. They will play nicely in WXGA resolution. The 15 inch version will get WSXGA+ while the 14 inch version will get the WXGA+ resolution. Need more details? Check with HP for further customization, although it might not be available just yet.

Sanyo GPS Gorilla

Check out the Sanyo Gorilla Navigation Device which features the first portable car navigation device internally equipped with a terrestrial digital tuner (Seg-12 + Seg-1), enhancing portability and eliminating the need for unsightly wires normally required to connect a separate external tuner.

The new Gorilla is designed to double as a terrestrial digital television inside the home or elsewhere. It is also equipped with a 30GB HDD and automatically converts from its Seg-12 tuner, used when image quality is good – even reproducing high-definition programs at standard quality – to a Seg-1 tuner in locations where the signal is weak, and back again, maximizing digital broadcast reception.

Other features include an expansive 8-inch touch-screen TFT-LCD and a resolution of 336,960 pixels. It measures just 38mm in thickness, 121mm in height and 206.8mm in width, weighing in at just 950 grams.

The company plans initial production of 5,000 units, and will sell the Gorilla NV-HD880FT at a suggested retail price of 225,750 yen.
