Acer Aspire One
Today seems to be yet again a great mini notebook release day. Acer has just released the Aspire one which is meant to be the perfect solution for your needs. Aspire one will bring communication to a new level, or so they claim.

Let’s look at what Acer had in mind for the Aspire one first:

  • dimensions:9.8-inches x 6.7-inches x 1.14-inches,
  • weight: under 2 pounds,
  • battery life: 3-6 hours depending on connection type,
  • 3G, WiFi support,
  • Linux 3 interface,
  • 8.9-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display,
  • resolution of 1024×600 pixels,
  • Acer CrystalEye webcam,
  • Intel® Atom™ processor,
  • Linpus™ Linux® Lite or Windows XP® Home,
  • 512MB or 1GB of RAM memory,
  • NAND flash module of 8GB or an 80GB4 internal HDD,
  • five different types of memory card – Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, xD-Picture Card.

It all sounds good to me. It sounds even better than the Eee. Add all the applications and software you might think of, start from $379 and up, and you will have a very good deal. Unfortunately, although released today, it will be available somewhere early Q3. Way to go Acer!
