Nokia XpressMusic 5320

Nokia is getting its hands dirty in the music business. If yesterday’s announcement of the Nokia Music Store in Australia was not enough, the Finnish giant today unveiled the new Nokia 5320 XpressMusic mobile phone, with 3G capabilities and social entertainment - apart from the usual suspects like web 2.0 support. The phone has a new voice-controlled Say and Play feature where you can simply say the name of an artist or song to automatically play it.

The XpressMusic 5320 phone offers a 3.5mm audio jack, 8GB memory card support, hi-speed USB and even an audio chip specially for improving audio quality. Nokia claims up to 24 hours of playback time. There are also dedicated keys for N-Gage gaming, as well as landscape view for a wider game experience.

Expect the phone to hit the markets in Q3 2008. Priced at €220 before taxes and subsidies.

Sony Ericsson's Beibei

One more Sony Ericsson leak for the day, the daftly codenamed “beibei.” It looks like the guys over at Yesky were able to get their hands on an actual device, based on the quality of the pictures available. There isn’t much detail available on the device, unlike the P5 and G502 we reported on earlier but what is known is that beibei belongs to the Walkman series from SE and will run on Symbian OS 9.3 with the new UIQ 3.3 user interface (with Demand Paging support). The device has a display smaller than the usual touchscreen phones and curiously more buttons than is the norm for a touchscreen smartphone. Also, from one of the pictures, we can see that the phone does have WiFi connectivity. That’s about it as far as the details go about this mysterious device.

Of course, nothing can be confirmed until the official announcement by Sony Ericsson in the future, and we will be sure to let you know when they do. Meanwhile, take a look at some more pictures of “beibei” after the break.
