HWPen Handwriting Recognition for iPhone

Write on iPhone in your handwriting. Now thanks to the Chinese developer who recently released unique handwriting recognition software now you can. Known as HWPen, the software application can be downloaded from Installer.app. Thinking How to install? Okay! Click on Source, then Edit and Add new source http://iphonecake.com/src/new. Refresh the sources to locate HWPen in the iPhoneCake packages. Install the software and restart your iPhone. After you install you will see a writing area making the standard keyboard vanish. Although it is in Beta 1.0 version and has some errors but you can still use it. I hope all the bugs are fixed soon and we get a solid version.

Asus Eee PC 900 is Now Official

Eee PC 900.jpgAfter its announcement a month ago, the new 8.9-inch Asus Eee PC 900, successor to the original Eee PC 701, is now released in Hong Kong. Details and specs of the diminutive notebook PC have also been officially announced by Asus. People have been expecting an Intel Atome processor, but it looks like it’s going to be the same Celeron one the original carried. The new Eee PC 900 now has a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution so users can now view a whole A4 page without the need to scroll horizontally like before.

Aside from its noticeable increase in screen size, it also features the new FingerGlide, which is an interactive touchpad allowing users to zoom in and out of pics and scroll through documents in a jiffy. Eee PC 900 comes with a 12GB SSD storage for Windows units and 20GB SSD storage for Linux ones. Both units will be sold for US$499. You can check out the release dates here.

Dell 1710, 1510 and 1310 Vostro Laptops

Dell Vostro 1310

Dell announced its newest laptops in the Vostro line-up for small businesses including the new 13.3 inch Vostro 1310 and 15.4 inch Vostro 1510. A 17-inch version, the 1710, will also be unveiled in mid-May. Dell claims that these Vostros are the result of listening to customer feedback and quicly acting on them to improve the existing series. One of the examples highlighted was the fact that customers wanted data protection and pre-installed security software.

The new Vostro 1310 and 1510 feature a sleek design with slot optical drive making them thinner. The 13.3 inch Vostro features a 94% viewing area of a 14.1 inch model, while at the same time weighs 20% less. Dell has also thrown in 10GB of Dell DataSafe Online Backup with the laptops. Added security measures include fingerprint eaders, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, McAfee Total Protection and others.

The Dell Vostro 1310 starts at US $749 and the 15.4-inch Dell Vostro 1510 starts at $599. Both are available today in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and will soon hit the North American shores and Asiapac/Japan region on May 1 and May 5 respectively.

ASUS U6Ep Notebook

ASUS-U6Ep.jpgAsus has just revealed a notebook that might rival the Eee PC, the Asus U6Ep for Mobile users. This notebook is touted to give high performance mobility. ASUS U6Ep is equipped with a 12.1-inch screen display wide panel and Biometric Fingerprint for personal security. Based on a Intel Core 2 duo processor T9300 2.6GHz, it gives users powerful mobile performance and improved battery lifespan.

Asus U6Ep notebook uses an Intel GM965 Express Chipset, DDR2 667MHZ for main memory, and Intel GMA X3100 for graphics solution. Storage space is 160GB Hybrid with 256MB of Flash, and will give a better performance when loading data. It also has built-in bluetooth connectivity and wireless supports.
