Everyone seems to be jumping into touchscreens after the huge success of the iPhone, as seen in the HTC Touch and Nokia’s Series60 touchscreen version. And now it seems that LG’s in on it too.

The picture here shows a concept design of the LG Touch, a mobile phone and PDA with an equally cool docking station. Like the Prada phone from the same company, this concept handset has no noticeable protrusions, which makes it look like a small monolith. It has a secondary LCD along its top edge that displays essential information like new message alerts. The docking station not only lets you sync and charge, but also displays a virtual keyboard for data entry.

For some reason, this concept device has green lights running around the handset. Even the wires on the headset is not spared from the neon invasion. It’s as if Kryptonite has been pumped into the handset for power–Superman should steer clear and go for a Samsung instead. All in all, it’s a very pretty concept, though we don’t see anything really useful or groundbreaking about the ideas. As Apple has clearly shown, anyone can make something look good, but interface design is the killer app.

glofiish_m800_01.jpgA recent unvieling of the Glofish M800 has grabbed some attention. The first official photos suggest a stylish design, which seems to be a cross between the Glofish M700 and X800. With the M800, a sliding form factor is incorporated.

Specifications of the phone are pretty similar to the X800. The phone receives a 500MHz Samsung processor and is expected to operate on UMTS / HSDPA and GSM / EDGE networks. Dimensions are fairly reasonable, measuring to 113.5 x 60.5 x 18.5 mm with a weight that is suggested not to exceed 174g. Other features are to include Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity, GPS III RFIS with A-GPS, an FM radio, and a microSD expansion port.

Availability to be in time for Christmas 2007.

eye-fi-wireless-card.jpgEye-Fi has finally launched its SD card that includes a WiFi connection, it is simply called a wireless memory card in case you are wondering. The new product has a built-in 802.11g Wi-Fi adapter, so you can easily (and wirelessly) transfer photos from the Eye-Fi, to a computer, be it PC or Mac, without the use of a USB cable or any other accessories - the card itself is enough.

For now, the Eye-Fi is only available in one version, which is the 2GB SD memory card, but more formats are expected in the future. As for the file formats, in case you want to upload data, this can only be done with JPEG files, but obviously other formats can be normally stored.

The Sony Ericsson Pxi is only a concept phone for now, it was designed by Bence Bogar and unlike what happens with the majority of the phones, it has the left-handers in mind.

Besides the 3.3-inch touchscreen that can work with a normal stylus, or with your finger, there is also a similar function to the iPhone, which adjusts the screen depending on the position that you are holding the device. On top of the main touchscreen, there is a secondary screen (touch pad as well) so you can have easy access to the applications being currently used.

The PXi concept phone has a 5-megapixel camera, it has space for 2 memory card slots, and stereo speakers are included to enjoy high-quality audio.
